ABnote Recognized by Smart Card Alliance Center of Excellence Program

Fort Lee, New Jersey – December 9, 2013 – ABnote, a leading global card manufacturer and provider of financial and secure credentialing solutions, has been named to the Smart Card Alliance Center of Excellence. The Smart Card Alliance is a global, not-for-profit, multi-industry association that promotes the understanding and adoption of smart card technology for payments, identification, transit, and other markets. Its new program, the Smart Card Alliance Center of Excellence, recognizes member companies that have consistently reached the highest level of active participation in the Smart Card Alliance.

Criteria for this elite level includes achieving LEAP/CSCIP training and certification, providing significant contribution to industry councils, holding a council office position elected by peer organizations, and maintaining active membership in multiple chapters and affiliated organizations. ABnote’s inclusion in this program will be recognized at the next Smart Card Alliance Membership Meeting, being held from December 8 – 10 in Coral Gables, Florida.

Jim Ellis, SVP of ABnote North America, comments “This is a real honor for us and is especially significant when considering the caliber of the organizations that are members of the Smart Card Alliance, and the leadership displayed by the Alliance. We have been active in the SCA for a number of years, and our strategic direction is well aligned with the technology and industry trends that they support. We look forward to our continued involvement in the Smart Card Alliance.”
